ATRO E&M was appointed by Mota-Engil under UNRA to provide design services for this World Bank-funded NERAMP project.
The project was based on the OPRC concept and includes many activities related to management and Maintenance (including periodic evaluation) of the road network under the contract. It also included rehabilitation works and improvement works to bring the road up to predefined standards or service levels. Actual services provided were;
– field data surveys such as topographical surveys.
– soils materials and geotechnical surveys.
– bridges and culvert condition surveys; and pavement condition surveys.
– traffic counts and axle load surveys.
– Delivering geometric designs, pavement design, drainage designs, ancillary design, road safety features and issue of relevant shop drawings and schedules.
– Supervision of the sub-contractors during data collection.
